Did you know that many physical complaints are symptoms of stress?
Most often heard in my practice: headaches, low energy, insomnia, back and shoulder pains.
Stress is everywhere and can have a negative effect on the body and mind.
Every person is unique and has different stress symptoms, most important is to recognize these symptoms and the willingness to change it for the better!
An effective method is to use deep-breathing exercises to reduce stress. Try this simple exercise and practice often:
- Sit in a straight-back chair with both feet on the floor.
- Rest hands on the abdomen.
- Slowly count to four while inhaling through the nose and feel the abdomen rise.
- Hold that breath for two seconds.
- Then, slowly count to six while exhaling through the mouth—let the abdomen slowly fall.
- Repeat this exercise 5 to 10 times.
